And for headwork, speaking strictly of the labor/machining aspect of the cost, my impression is to expect to pay between ~$800-1500 depending on the degree of porting and whether you're getting oversized valves, etc. Note that doesn't include the cost of parts, such as cams, valve springs and lifters. (People are welcome to correct me if my estimated costs are way off).
